ABS-CBN Station IDs have become part of Pinoy tradition with many eagerly awaiting its premiere. But last August 31, ABS-CBN launched what may be its saddest station ID.
The attle hymn ‘Tinig ng Nawalan’ features retrenched employees of ABS-CBN protesting after losing their jobs when congress voted to deny its franchise.
On the Twitter, poet Alfonso Manalastas tweeted that ABS-CBN has made the most meaningful and tearful Station ID for its network and employees, “Ang pinaka makabuluhang ABS-CBN station ID sa buong buhay ko bilang manonood.”

Wishful thinking now that ABS-CBN's 'Ibalik ang Tinig ng Nawalan' is playing: masd maging aggressive sa pag transition from mainstream to alternative media. Yung mga reports from the marginalized, national minorities, etc.

Leading their home network ABS-CBN’s battle hymn, love team Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla starred in ‘Tinig ng mga Nawalan.’
It featured Filipinos who lost their friends and family during the global pandemic and other Kapamilya celebrities who were present in the network’s protest for their franchise renewal.
70 Congressmen and women last July 10 refused ABS-CBN’s application for a 25-year license to once again run its free TV and radio stations.
After the denial, the television network announced that by the end of August it would begin its retrenchment program covering the company and its subsidiaries.
