Bubble Gang returns with new episodes all done via Zoom. In a conference call, the cast confirmed that they already filmed two episodes.
Both will air within the next two weeks. The cast also clarified that Michael V popularly known as Bitoy, won’t be in the next two episodes due to the comedian testing positive with the COVID-19 in July.
Program Manager Cecil De Guzman confirmed this when reporters asked about Bitoy.
“For our August airing, For August 21 and 28, Unfortunately, he wasn’t able to join us yet. When we were taping, kakaalam pa lang natin (Bitoy’s Covid Status). We tried to move it nga, hoping that the test comes out negative but unfortunately, a day after we taped the episodes we found [that it was] positive,” said De Guzman.
De Guzman said that Bitoy is already doing well and they are hoping that the comedian will be able to return for their September episodes.
“At the moment is already okay. He is preparing with us, hopefully for our September episodes nandoon na siya,” De Guzman added.
What to expect with the new episodes?
Valeen Montenegro confirmed that the cast filmed the new episodes via Zoom following the work-from-home setup.
“Yung mga fresh episodes namin kasi very inspirational kasi timing, very situational dapat nilang abangan yung mga zoom gags namin. Everything via zoom,” said Montenegro.
Paolo Contis said that the episodes are fresh and he hopes that people will appreciate the new episodes of Bubble Gang.
“Mostly bago sya, kasi syempre kasi we had to adjust also especially for the August episodes kung pano yung situasyon. More than anything naman I think people will appreciate the effort na ginawa namin because we made sure na broadcast quality naman episodes,” said Contis.
The cast also confirms that they are aiming to add studio filmed episodes by September.
“Come September we’re going to start studio tapings na. May work from home parin pero may studio episodes na rin kami. We have to make sure everyone is safe na hindi nawawala yung quality ng jokes,” Contis added.
