It’s Showtime hosts Vice Ganda, Vhong Navarro, and Jhong Hilario expressed their appreciation and respect to medical health workers after Cynthia Villar’s heartless statement.
These TV personalities took to Twitter to show their sympathy to the medical groups who are overwhelmed with the continuous rise of COVID-19 cases in the country.
Vice Ganda said that aside from high compensation and other benefits, our frontliners deserve appreciation and respect too.
More love. More appreciation. More respect. Yan ang deserve ng mga FRONTLINERS ngayon. Bukod sa mas mataas na kompensasyon at benipisyo.

For the past months, medical workers have been exerting their best efforts and even risking their health just to perform their duties.
Recently, medical groups call for a reimplementation of ECQ in Metro Manila to serve as a ‘breathing’ time for them. The continuous rising of cases has overwhelmed hospitals and the workers are pleading for some time to ‘rest’.
They believe that bringing back ECQ for at least two weeks can lighten the situation.
However, Sen. Cynthia Villar dismissed this request from frontliners.
The senator trended online after her insensitive statement on medical workers.
“Hindi na siguro. Pagbutihin nila (medical frontline workers) trabaho nila,” she said in a radio interview on DWIZ.
The senator however clarified that her remark about “working harder” was for government officials.
“We have to work harder and better, but I am not referring in particular to the medical workers–our frontliners. We are referring to all of us and DOH (Department of Health) and PhilHealth in particular,” she reiterated.
