On the show Raffy Tulfo in Action, actor John Regala and his former wife Aurina “Au-Au” Hunt had their first public conversation.
According to Au, she married John when she was only 16 years old, following a ten-year gap. She has been supportive of John with his showbiz career and she’s been present at almost all of his events and tapings.
However, when she got pregnant with their only child, they separated.
When asked about the details of their separation, Au refused to tell the reason. But amidst separation, John had a constant connection with his child, John Jr.
Au also said that now and then she sends financial support to John and his mother through Gina, his wife, who eventually left him.
They also clarified that it is not Au who is being referred to by John, who allegedly left him after he was left with nothing.
“Hindi po si Ma’am Au-Au yung tinutukoy ni Mr. John Regala sa kanyang video sa amin na kung saan ako walang pera saka ako iniwan, ibang girl,” Tulfo said.
Recently, when John asked for help from Au, she sent her help through Bem, their former nanny.
Bem Torres, the one who posted the pitiful situation of the actor on the internet, is also the one who took care of John and Au’s child before.
“Nung nagmessage po si Kuya John sa kanya na humihingi siya ng tulong, yung pera po pinadaan po ni Ate Au sa akin, ako po naghatid dito kay Kuya John,” Bem said.
Though having a speech impediment, John then talked to his ex-wife and expressed how much he loves her that caused Au to be emotional.
“Alam mo naman na mahal na mahal kita, kaso lang iniwan mo ‘ko. Pero masaya ako sa naging buhay mo,” John said.
John also thanked Au for taking good care of their child and supporting her financially despite all of his shortcomings.
Au then replied, “Tatagan mo lang yung loob mo, gaya ng sabi ko kanina andito lang ako.”
[Just stay strong, just like what I’ve said earlier, I’m here for you]
“Mahal na mahal kita John, kahit anong mangyari andito parin ako. Magpalakas ka nang mabuti, kayang-kaya mo yan,” she added.
[I love you John, no matter what happens, I’m here for you. Be strong and I know you can do it]
She also said that she sent Bem to take care of John and for them to have a communication. Au also said that she is the one who is paying Bem to take care of John.
The actor then expressed his desire to go to America and visit Au and his son. This dream of John was also affirmed by Au who said, “Opo, dito po siya sa akin.”
“Wala po bang magagalit?” Tulfo asked.
“Nandito po ang asawa ko pero maintindihin po yung asawa ko. Atsaka bibili po ang anak niya ng bahay, pwede siyang tumira sa anak niya,” she replied.
Afterward, Au then pleaded to their adopted son, Gilbert, to help his father or at least reach out to him.
“Anak, parang awa mo na, puntahan mo yung daddy mo. ‘Di mo man mapuntahan, naiintindihan ko dahil sa sitwasyon ngayon ‘diba? At least tawagan mo lang,” John’s ex-wife said.

Tulfo also asked John about a truck driver, who is also named John, who claims that he is the son of John with Vilma.
John then showed the willingness to accept his child, if it’s true. He said that he doesn’t want to let his children feel what he felt with his father who didn’t recognize him as his child.
Tulfo then promised to pay for the DNA test of this son of John to prove his legitimacy.
Before ending their conversation, John again expressed his love and gratitude towards Au and said that he does not expect that Au will help him after all that happened.
He also sent a message to his fans and supporters.
“‘Wag niyo po akong gayahin, dahil inabuso ko po ang aking sarili sa pagtatrabaho,” he said.
He told his supporters to take care of their health and wished that they will continue to support him as they are the source of his strength.
