Talent manager Lolit Solis expressed dismay over Ivana Alawi’s—whom she tagged as the ‘Pandemic Star’—postponed showbiz career due to the pandemic.
Ivana started her showbiz career in the talent search show of GMA, StarStruck, where she ended up a part of the Top 14 finalists.
After returning to TV in a guest role on FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano and a major character in Mea Culpa: Sino Ang May Sala?, Ivana became more popular because of her YouTube vlogs. Solis expected her to become the next sexy star
On Instagram, Lolit expressed her dismay with the delayed stardom of Ivana.
The columnist/talent manager said that Ivana is more than ready for big TV exposure and her proposed shows could’ve been a hit.
“Ivana Alawi is the name, the pandemic star.

Ivana signed an exclusive contract with ABS-CBN on February 07, 2020. This should have been followed by her first lead role in a TV series but, because of the pandemic and the closure of the ABS-CBN it was postponed.
Amidst the ABS-CBN closure, Ivana stated that she will be a forever Kapamilya and she did not regret having a contract with the network.
“I’m proud that I got a chance to sign with my dream network and I will forever be a Kapamilya,” Alawi said.
Meanwhile, Ivana is focused on her YouTube channel which currently has more than 8 million subscribers.
