In his last TV Patrol appearance, veteran journalist Ted Failon officially said goodbye and thank you to the Kapamilya network.
On August 31, TV Patrol bid farewell to Ted as he is set to move to another network due to the retrenchment program of his home network ABS-CBN.
Ted was emotional as Noli de Castro and his fellow TV Patrol anchors paid their tribute for his 30 years of service to the Kapamilya network.
As the country marked National Heroes Day, Ted paid tribute to all ABS-CBN workers like him who had their last day of service on the same day.
Ted also lamented as ABS-CBN employees are not sure whether another wave of retrenchment will follow and prayed that God will give them sobriety to accept all of those.
The veteran journalist then expressed his sincerest gratitude to all of the people whom he worked with, like. the team behind TV Patrol and DZMM, and their ABS-CBN bosses.
He also thanked his fellow anchors, Bernadette Sembrano, Kim Atienza, Gretchen Fullido, Alvin Elchico, and most especially his “Kuya” Noli de Castro.
Lastly, he gave thanks to all the Kapamilya supporters who remained constant amidst all the issues against ABS-CBN.
“No goodbyes tonight, ako lamang po ay nagpapasalamat,” he said.
Before ending, his fellow anchors also sent their messages to their “Manong Ted”.
“Manong, I’ll miss you!
“Maraming salamat sa labing tatlong taon na nakasama kita rito araw-araw and thank you very much for being a friend, nagkaroon ako ng kaibigan sa’yo, magkikita tayo muli Ted,” Kim said emotionally.
Ted then said that he ‘never felt so loved’, because of the warm messages from his TV Patrol family. He again expressed his overflowing gratitude to the ABS-CBN network which has been his home for the past three decades.
Other Kapamilya journalists also expressed their thoughts as Ted Failon bid farewell to ABS-CBN.
Saan ka man mapunta Ted, I am praying for your success. God be with you 🙏🏻 https://t.co/jcgejpJdWu
