Ria Atayde surprised her mom, veteran actress Sylvia Sanchez, with a boxful of memorabilia from the K-drama hit It’s Okay To Not Be Okay and other Korean merchandise.
On her Instagram, Sylvia expressed how grateful and happy she was after receiving a simple gift from her daughter.
She noted that she is a big fan of the K-drama series, not only because of the great artists but also because the story tackled issues of mental health.
“You really know how to make me happy, potpot. simple lang pero napakasaya ko. thank you nak ❤” she posted.
She further stated, “alam mong minahal ko ang character ni Sang Tae @ohjungse_actor. at tama ka, ang ganda ng It’s Okay to not be Okay at ang gagaling nilang lahat @seoyeji. at ang galing ng crush mong si @soohyun_k216 . this is one of the best KDramas I’ve ever seen — acting, directing and tackling mental health issues. Sylvia and Ria have always shown a tight bond and their closeness is undeniable. They have proven that through happy and challenging times they shared together.
Previously, Sylvia and her husband Arturo have positive for the coronavirus. The couple fully recovered and were thankful that their children most especially Ria had been a positive influence on everybody during the tough times.
The family has also been very supportive of one another as proven in Sylvia’s approval of any person that her children Ria and Arjo were linked to. She has formerly stated that she would not meddle with her children’s relationships as long as they are happy.
