Kapamilya actress Sunshine Cruz recalled the blessings she received from ABS-CBN just as she became a single mom to her three daughters Angelina, Sam, and Chesca.
In an episode of I Feel U on August 2, Sunshine shared how ABS-CBN helped her since she separated from her husband Cesar Montano in 2013.
“I’ve been a single working mom since 2013, so matagal na seven years mag-eight years na rin,” she said to host Toni Gonzaga.
She thanked God and felt so grateful to ABS-CBN for giving her job offers to support the needs of her daughters.
“Andon ‘yung struggle na ‘kakayanin ko ba na alagaan ang tatlo kong anak? Maibibigay ko ba ang wants and needs nila but thank God talaga with ABS-CBN sila ‘yung sumalo sa akin na after a week na separated na ako, dumating ‘yung offer sa akin at nagtuloy-tuloy ‘yun talaga,” she added.
Sunshine also admitted that it’s not easy to raise children as a single parent but because of the people who believe in her talent as an actress, she overcame her fear especially when she made her comeback in the showbiz industry.
“There was even a time na nag-o-overlap ‘yung teleserye ko so kung takot na takot ako before, nabura ‘yun kasi salamat sa Diyos nagkaroon ako ng mga projects at ‘yung nagbigay sa akin ng daan para makapag provide ako sa mga anak ko,” she said
In 2013, Sunshine decided to filed for an annulment since her former husband had a relationship with Krista Miller. Last year, their marriage was officially annulled after five years.
Sunshine Cruz played roles in popular teleseryes such as Marina, Palos, Be Careful With My Heart, Dolce Amore, and Hiwaga ng Kambat. Currently, she is part of the Kapamilya series ‘Love Thy Woman‘ Yam Concepcion, Xian Lim, and Kim Chiu.
