Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. recently announced that he tested positive for COVID-19. A few days after, his wife Mayor Lani Mercado said that the Revilla was brought to the hospital after developing pneumonia.
On Tuesday, Revilla went live on Facebook and asks people to pray for his recovery. In the said video, the Senator appeared to be suffering because of the virus.
This appeal for prayers by the Senator has drawn various reactions from netizens.
Some netizens sympathized with the Senator, praying for his recovery. Others even said that it is inhumane to wish a person to die amid all of his bad actions.
Prayers for healing, Senator Bong!

May ninakaw man siya o wala, we should still pray for him.

However, some people also believe that Revilla ‘deserves’ to suffer and that is not enough punishment for stealing hundreds of millions of pesos.
Oh so Bong Revilla is walking around the hospital taking videos whilst being admitted because of Covid-19? This bitch be sharing the virus but not the money he stole.
He deserves all the sickness in thsi world.

Honestly, I don't want Bong Revilla nor Banat By to die from Covid. I want to see Bong Revilla return the money he stole and Banat By behind bars for spreading fake news and slanderous remarks against the opposition. Death is not the justice we seek- it's accountability!

they harmed a lot of my countrymen and i’m just celebrating their karma

I'm sure Bong Revilla and wife Lani can find comfort in the P224M loot he denied to have plundered.
He surely won't get a lot of sympathies from me… or from a lot of Filipinos who are struggling to get by!
Today is particularly a positive day, I noticed. 🙄

“Father God please help my husband,” ayon sa post ni Mercado sa Facebook. “He is being rushed to the hospital.”
Before seeking God's help, undo what your husband did and return the money! 🤬🤬🤬

Meanwhile, Mayor Lani Mercado posted her prayer for her husband through a Facebook post.
“Father God pls help my husband. He is being rushed to the hospital. His latest X-ray shows that he has developed pneumonia and isolation in a regular facility is no longer ideal. Hospital care is badly needed. Father, we lift him up to you,” Mayor Lani wrote.
