Beauty queen and actress Ruffa Gutierrez immediately responded to a critic who described her acting as “pangit” and “bading.”
Ruffa is one of the most celebrated faces in the entertainment industry and has been acting for more than three decades. Recently she made a television comeback with ABS-CBN’s series Love Thy Woman where she played a secondary antagonist.
Following her on-screen return was a comment from a netizen who insulted her acting skills. The netizen said, “Ang pangit ng character mo sa LTW para kang bading.”
He added, “Sa lahat g bading ikw ang pangit, para kang bading umarte..real talk!”
Ruffa replied, “bakit pangit ba ang mga bading.”
She further thanked him for she deemed his critic as a compliment rather than an insult, she replied, “Lol gurl I love badings and they love me back! So thanks for the compliment sister! Now buzz off!”
In 2019, Ruffa Gutierrez landed a role in the teleserye “Love Thy Woman,” as Amanda del Mundo, one of the mistresses of veteran actor Christopher de Leon.
Her co-stars include ZsaZsa Padilla, Kim Chiu, Yam Conception, and Sunshine Cruz.
After three months of being off-air, the series finally returned on June 15, with production resuming under the new safety protocols.
Due to ABS-CBN’s shutdown, the series instead returned via the cable and satellite TV on the newly launched Kapamilya Channel. It joins a roster of well-loved network programs, new local shows, and as well as some fresh international picks.
