Kapuso actress Jennylyn Mercado has spoken out on social media about the ABS-CBN franchise and other government issues for which she has received criticism from netizens and other celebrities and TV personalities.
One of them is actress and Diehard Duterte supporter Keanna Reeves who posted on her Facebook account. According to Keanna, even if the Commission of Audit will release a breakdown Jennylyn would not be able to understand it since she’s just an actress.
“Naku inday, kahit maglabas pa sila ng breakdown, panigurado hindi mo rin maintindihan teh! Ok lang naman yan nagsasalita kayo freedom nyo yan pero yong sa tama lang din naman kasi mahirap talaga magpapanggap na matalino kasi mahirap mo yan mapanindigan!!!”
The Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Edition grand winner said that even small companies have accountants, so it would be complicated for Jennylyn to understand the COVID-19 breakdown cost.
“Malalaking company nga may sariling accountant, ikaw panigurado may accountant karin! Mahirap yan ate…😂😂😂😂😂 Ikaw magaling umarte kasi linya mo yan, yang mga ganyang usapin, linya din nila yan, may kanya2x tayong expertise teh… walang ganun!”
Keanna even mentioned that this is the reason why artists are called ‘dumb’ for their questions and rants to the government.

“TRANSPARENCY yes!!! Pero ang tanong, maintindihan mo ba? Hindi naman pwd maghahanap kalang pero hindi mo naintindihan, tapos itatanong mo sa expert, so what’s the POINT???😂😂😂😂😂 Kaya tinatawag ang mga artista na mga BOPALS dahil din kasi sa mga post nyo e…”
Some Duterte supporters agreed with Reeves’ side where they believe that Jennylyn won’t still understand even it will be published.
There have been allegations of misuse of COVID-19 funds in the procurement of PPEs, laboratory equipment, and other medical supplies which, according to several sources, have been overpriced.
As a result, Jennylyn asked if the government if there was a rundown of where the loans had been used.
‘Naglabas na ba ng breakdown kung san napunta ang pera na inutang?’

Supposedly, Malacanang will release a detailed Powerpoint last Monday for the expenses of COVID 19 funds.
May PowerPoint presentation si Harry Roque on Monday. They will present the expenses of the government daw. Pero syempre in-edit pa kaya monday pa ang presentation.
Ngayon palang nila naisip gawin yan.

Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque made this statement after a number of senators urged the Audit Commission (COA) to conduct a special review of all government spending on COVID-19 under the Bayanihan To Heal As One Act.
“Magkakaroon po tayo ng PowerPoint presentation on Monday kung magkano po ang natanggap ng gobyerno at kung paano po nagastos ‘yan (We will have a PowerPoint presentation on Monday on how much did the government receive and how we spent it),” but till today no breakdown was given to the public.
