Kapamilya broadcaster Karen Davila is set to grace one of the TV5 current affairs shows sparking network transfer rumors.
While Karen is one of the most vocal about her support for ABS-CBN and its fight for its franchise, the Kapamilya journalist was recently the subject of rumors over an article reporting her upcoming guesting on Luchi Cruz Valdes’ TV5 program Usapang Real Life.
According to the Abante article by Jun Lalin, Davila has already finished taping the episode at the house of Luchi.
What’s notable in the episode according to the article is the fact that Karen will be the show’s host interviewing the original host Cruz-Valdes.
“This is exclusive! Two award-winning broadcast journalist in one frame; Karen Davila interviews Luchi Cruz-Valdes,” said Marge Natividad, the show’s producer.
Luchi is said to be the one who asked and convinced Karen to guest on her show since the two are close friends. ABS-CBN News head Ging Reyes meanwhile is said to have allowed Davila since she also personally knows Luchi.
It’s also good to note that Karen’s husband DJ Sta Ana is News 5’s Head of Operations.
Meanwhile, with the exit of big names from ABS-CBN like Ces Drilon, Korina Sanchez, and Anthony Taberna, Karen remains on her ANC show Headstart.
