Kapamilya star Vice Ganda recently learned the meaning of being “electrocuted in life
after the comedian-host interviewed a contestant for It’s Showtime’s segment ‘Tawag ng Tanghalan.’
Vice Ganda and co-host Jhong Hilario interviewed the contestant who happens to be an electrician.
Vice Ganda jokingly asked if the contestant has been grounded but the comedian did not expect that he will be learning something relevant from the contestant.
“Nakuryente na po. Kahit sa totoong buhay na kuryente na rin,” the contestant answered.
Confused as to what the man meant when he said that he has been electrocuted in life, Vice Ganda asked him what he was talking about.
“Ano ba ang ibig sabihin kapag sinabing nakuryente ka sa buhay? Anong ibig sabihin nun sir?” the comedian asked.
The contestant explained that being electrocuted in life means that one may be struggling with life. It refers to the hardships that the people are facing causing the people to feel pain that may seem like they have been zapped with electricity.
“Kasi po yung kuryente medyo fatal yun eh. So, pag nakuryente ka sa buhay, yun yung mga pagsubok na medyo matitindi na kailangan pagdaanan natin, kailangan nating lampasan. Para muling maka-move on, para mabuhay ng mas masaya kaysa dun sa naunang buhay natin,” the contestant explained.
The man wanted to make the people realize that all the pain that life brings them is only temporary and will be over soon. He said that all the struggles needed to be faced by people because within those struggles are life lessons that will guide them through life.
The contestant also wanted to say that people shouldn’t run away from their problems in life. They need to face their problems head-on and eventually overcome it for them to be able to live freely. The reason as to why life gives you many problems is so that you can improve yourself in the process of overcoming it and gradually live a new life.
This was the first time that Vice Ganda has heard of this analogy and the comedian was amazed by the man’s wisdom in life.
Vice Ganda is also known as someone who possesses great wisdom in life as he was able to experience many struggles as well before being a successful comedian and celebrity. Vice grew up in the neighborhood along José Abád Santos Street in Manuguit, Tondo, Manila.

With the shutdown of the ABS-CBN network due to its denied franchise, a lot of Kapamilya artists and employees are struggling to cope with the drastic change in their careers.
To offer entertainment and employment to the displaced Kapamilya employees was one of the goals why Vice aimed to have his own digital channel. It was supposed to be launched on July 24 but the website crashed because it couldn’t handle the amount of people who logged on.
Lots of people wanted to watch Vice in his segment “Gabing Gabi Na Vice” where he promised more entertaining content because there are fewer restrictions regarding their choice of words.
But Vice Ganda excitedly announced that his channel will soon push through as he has already posted on Twitter that people are allowed to register to be a part of his show.
