Actor Mark Anthony Fernandez broke his silence regarding the rumors that he is broke after using up the inheritance that his father left to him.
Mark denied the allegations and was actually shocked that such rumors about him exist.
The actor is referring to his parents’ former house in White Plains that his father gave him as part of his inheritance. Mark is the son of deceased action star Rudy Fernandez who died of cancer.
Rudy was a multi-awarded Filipino actor and producer. He came to prominence as an action star in Philippine cinema during the 1970s up to the early 2000s.
Mark explained that he was able to make money from the inheritance that his father left him. He doesn’t want the public to think that he has done nothing in life as he said that he is taking good care of himself.
He also wanted to clarify that he did not start a business using the money he inherited because his father didn’t want him to. Mark wanted to fulfill the wishes of his father for him to be a celebrity as well.
But even though Mark didn’t start any business, he said that his inheritance is secured and it will not be used up anytime soon.
Mark is referring to his son Grae Fernandez who is also a celebrity just like him. Grae is a Filipino teen actor, host, and recording artist.
The actor also responded to the rumors about him saying that he doesn’t listen to his mother, actress Alma Moreno, and that he rebelled against her. He clarified that he always confides in his mom and that he always gets full support from her.
Mark Anthony has confirmed that he will be doing film projects from his agency Viva Artists Agency but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, he cannot push through with his films. He hoped that the virus will be gone soon so that he can carry on with his plans.
Sana nga mawala na itong COVID,” he said.
The rumors about Mark having no direction in life rose after people learned that he is currently living with a close friend of his.
But the actor explained that people need not be worried because his life is okay and he is just temporarily living with his friend because he and his wife have broken up.
Showbiz columnist Lolit Solis posted on her Instagram account after she received a call from Mark regarding the reason he is currently living with his friend.

She revealed that Mark had a misunderstanding with his wife that’s why he is living with a friend. She also said that Mark is not struggling financially as the actor has film contracts with Viva Agency.
Solis was relieved that the actor is doing okay with his life. She hoped that his problem with his wife will be solved soon as the actor is not getting younger.
The columnist wished that Mark should have a concrete plan with his life to ensure that he will be secure when he grows old.
She questioned Mark’s decision to live with a friend instead of living in a house that Solis believes that the actor was supposed to have.
Sana as [he gets] older, the better Mark Fernandez will emerge,” she added.
