Queen of All Media Kris Aquino’s new TV show, “Love Life with Kris,” will not be pushing through for the second time around and Kris has yet to release a statement regarding it.
It can be recalled that the show was supposed to premiere in July but was pushed back to August. Aquino’s show was supposedly halted because of ‘politics’. It was the same scenario when she was about to star in her own talk show on GMA Network more than three years ago, but the closest she came to a comeback was to host a TV special titled Trip ni Kris.
The reason behind the postponement was claimed to be a misunderstanding among Kris, the TV network, and the producer of the TV show.
An industry insider revealed that a “falling out with the producer” was what caused Aquino’s show to be halted anew.
The issue comes after Kris shared a teaser trailer for her upcoming TV show on Instagram, that was supposed to air on TV5 on Thursday, July 30.
Her post was captioned as “Thanks to ALL OF YOU, I’m starting MY NEW BEGINNING.”

In the trailer, Kris says: “Maraming nagsabi this day would never arrive. After hearing that too many times, even I started to believe it. Yet, nandito na ako.”
Kris said she got to know herself while being away from the spotlight, as she worked on improving herself.
“I got to know the real me. Hinarap ko ang aking mga pagkakamali. Tinanggap ko na madaming beses din akong nagkulang. Natutunan kong iwanan ang kahapon,” Kris said of the lessons she learned while she was away from TV.
“Pinili kong patawarin ang aking sarili. For being human. For seeing myself as a victim. For allowing myself to almost give up. So I wiped away my tears. Kinaya kong maghintay. Nagpakatatag ako. Naghanda ako. Because this isn’t the end of my story,” she added.
“Thanks to all of you, I’m starting my new beginning.”
Taking the 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. block every Saturday, the show’s season opener was supposed to air live. Additionally, digital episodes will be available on the show’s Official Facebook page four times a week. It will be managed under the Positive Exposure Productions and Kris herself would be the Creative Head.
Kris earlier signed a new contract with Cornerstone Entertainment and has been hinting at a return to television.
It can be recalled that Kris posted about her first interaction with the “King of TV5” Raffy Tulfo.
Aquino raved about Tulfo’s generosity as she shared that the TV host lent her his dressing room while she was being dolled up for a pictorial for her show.

In the short clip shot at TV5, Kris can be heard telling Raffy she’s a ‘fan.’ Raffy returned the compliment by saying that so is he.
“It’s a pleasure to meet the ‘King of TV5,’” Kris said.
“You’re the Queen of All Media… Mas magandang-maganda ka pala sa person no?” Raffy replied.
According to Kris, his name has been on her list of people she’d like to work with because she idolizes how Raffy stands up for women.
“Gusto ko talaga magka-talk show with you. Sana in the future,” Kris said.
In the post, Kris wrote about how Raffy and his staff were kind to her.
“The King of Public Service @raffytulfoinaction made me feel so welcome… I’m very much aware kung sino lang po ako sa mundo ng Tv5 (baguhan na maraming dapat patunayan) and that he is their reigning king (not to mention the fact that he is the King of YouTube). But, Raffy & his kind staff lent me his dressing/conference room and told me to feel free to use it anytime I’m in the compound,” she wrote on her social media account.
“They also lent his studio for my promo shoot. And he went out of his way to come down when he knew patapos na ko so that we could meet face to face…” she added.
She praised Tulfo for being a gentleman as she said, “Sobrang mas napahanga ako sa pagka gentleman & sa generosity.”
It’s been years since Kris Aquino was on live television after her hit show Kris TV on ABS-CBN bid farewell in 2016. Since then, she earned big milestones in the digital world, launching her own digital production on YouTube.
Kris is one of the country’s most recognizable faces, thanks to her work as talk show host, actress, endorser, and entrepreneur.
She recently admitted that as much as she wants to always be with her sons Joshua and Bimby, she has allowed her eldest to live in the province away from her.
She shared that Joshua told her that he wants to live in Tarlac with her brother, former President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III. Between her two sons, Kris said Joshua is fonder of living in Tarlac because he had so many good memories with his grandmother growing up there.
She also said that Joshua loves spending time with his uncle.
After several attempts to go back on television, with the travel-themed special “Trip ni Kris” on GMA in 2017, Aquino decided to lie low. Later, she diverted her focus to her health and wellness getting diagnosed with Chronic Spontaneous Urticaria, an autoimmune disease.
Her last film was in 2018, when she made an appearance in the movie “I Love You Hater” of Star Cinema productions and in an international cameo on the adaptation of “Crazy Rich Asians.”
