After he lost his job because of his tweet directed at congressmen during the ABS-CBN franchise renewal hearing, talk show host Jules Guiang did not seem to be upset but instead became more vocal with his opinions on his social media platforms.
On his Twitter account, he called out the House of Representatives who are now tackling the Death Penalty bills amid pandemic crisis, “#DeathPenalty hearings expected to begin today in the House.”
For Guiang, if the Anti Terror Law was passed smoothly and the Congress was still able to deny ABS-CBN’s franchise, the death penalty could possibly happen.
“Remember how they easily passed #AntiTerrorLaw & denied the #ABSCBNFranchiseRenewal? It’s a test of to what extent HoR will obey. They did. It’s all about the numbers. It’s a numbers-game.”

His criticisms didn’t end there, he also called out the corruption of PhilHealth where he compared Apple’s most expensive laptop to PhilHeatlth’s breakdown of their very expensive laptop.

He also called out the Department of Health for covering for President Rodrigo Duterte on his claims that gas can be used as a disinfectant.
“We should not be misinterpreting whatever our senior officials are saying. They might be saying something that has been misinterpreted by the public or the media,” said Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire.
“No ma’am. I respect you so much, but it’s crystal clear that PRRD said to use gas to disinfect.”

Guiang argued that his views on national issues are consistent, even though he had been working for the state network for eight years, beginning with the previous administration.
“My being vocal has put me in trouble so many times, from speaking up against PNoy about SAF (Special Action Force), being impassioned that ‘rape is not a joke,’ saying that Mocha Uson is a disaster, stood up against the Tulfos, and lately, speaking truth to power by blasting the hypocrisy of those 70 lawmakers who chose to deny ABS-CBN’s franchise – and cited that most of their workers weren’t regularized,” he said.

He added that he’s doing it all for press freedom and for those who are suffering from contractualization.
“Para ito sa kalayaan nating maghayag. Para ito sa mga kontraktwal. Masakit man ang paraan ng aking pag-alis, walang hanggang pasasalamat, PTV.”
As of now, Jules Guiang’s Twitter feed is full of opinions and criticism against the PH government.
It’s frightening, but not surprising, that this admin has this kind of language. They say the numbers of deaths are still acceptable, but dude those are real lives. 1 lost life is too many already. But what do we expect? From an admin that tolerates EJKs, death penalty, etc?
