A former critic turned a staunch ally and defender. That’s how Jobert Sucaldito projects himself now with his social media posts defending the Duterte admin.
In one of his recent posts, Sucaldito asked to stop the hate towards the Duterte government and instead offer help in addressing the pandemic.
Sucaldito was sharing a story of a boy who asked his grandmother to give his savings of 500 pesos to Duterte because he apparently heard him on TV saying the government has no money already.
He then connected the story of the boy on how people should treat the government in this time of pandemic saying the government shouldn’t be bashed and supported instead.
“Morale (sic) of the story? Let’s stop the hate sa pamahalaang Duterte or kahit sino pang may hawak ng administration lalo na sa panahon ng pandemya like what we’re facing right now. Let’s just help this government – let’s stop bashing them. These young boys are truly heaven-sent – magandang eye-opener ang gesture nila – ANGELS, if I may say. God bless us all. Mwah!”

In a subsequent post, Sucaldito again mentioned Sarah Manilay and thanked her for donating boxes of face masks sent to President Rodrigo Duterte through Daisy Romualdez and Salvador Panelo. He said it will greatly help in addressing the rise of COVID cases in the country.

Also, just recently, Sucaldito defended Congress’ obvious ‘silence’ on the Philhealth corruption compared to their virulent attacks during the ABS-CBN franchise hearing.
In his social media post, Sucaldito targetted Kapamilya star Nikki Valdez who was vocal about her fury over the huge corruption scandal at Philhealth.
Nikki has tweeted several reactions about the Philhealth corruption even comparing it to how congress has handled the ABS-CBN franchise which did not sit well with Sucaldito.
Pag may nagawa kang hindi maganda, hindi pwede ang easy way out. At kung wala talaga kayong ginawa or ginagawang mali, harapin ninyong lahat. Maysakit man o wala. https://t.co/CJrKusHW14

The former ABS-CBN radio anchor lashed out at Nikki saying the government is looking into the Philhealth anomalies and he believed those involved will be punished.
They will rule on this. Maghintay ka lang,” he added.
Sucaldito even mentioned the infamous bully congressmen Marcoleta, Remulla, and Defensor whom he believes will extensively investigate Philhealth just like what they did to ABS-CBN.
“Sa palagay mo ba, makakaligtas ang mga ito, most especially si Gen. Morales, kina Congressman Marcoleta, Remulla and Defensor? Huwag mo munang pangunahan dear. If you want, sundan mo na lang si Gabby Lopez sa Switzerland or kung saan man siya tumakbo dahil mukhang di ka pa naka-move on sa pagkasara ng ABS-CBN. Iba na ang isyu, pilit mo pa ring idinikit. Kaloka!” Sucaldito said.
It can be remembered that Sucaldito appeared as one of the resource persons for those opposed to the Kapamilya network during the ABS-CBN franchise hearing which was obviously controlled by Marcoleta, Remulla, and Defensor.
Meanwhile, prior to his change of heart, Sucaldito used to be a critic of the Duterte admin. It was evident by his several social media posts and articles where he slammed Duterte and his allies. He was critical of the Duterte government while he was still with ABS-CBN.
In one of his old Facebook posts, Sucaldito even shared an article critical of the Duterte government discussing how paranoid the admin is resorting to spreading rumors and fake conspiracy theories against the opposition.

Jobert also wrote an article for Bandera in November 2017 slamming the President and some of his appointees and allies over their behavior and conduct in public.
Some of the names mentioned by Jobert were Martin Andanar, Mocha Uson, Bato Dela Rosa, Harry Roque, and Alan Cayetano whom he attributed as signals of the apocalyptic second coming.
“Nandiyan sina Alan Peter Cayetano, Martin Andanar, Bato dela Rosa, Mocha Uson, Harry Roque, Arnell Ignacio, who else? Isama na natin ang milyon-milyon nilang trolls na kulang na lang ay ibaon tayo sa lupa. Kaswal na lang sa kanila ang pagsasalita ng mga bastos na salita. Nakakapangilabot na. Ito na ba ang senyales ng SECOND COMING?” Jobert wrote on his article.
He also blasted Arnell Ignacio saying even though he’s a friend, his die-hard stance for the President is already unacceptable causing him to decide to block him on his Facebook list.
“Arnell Ignacio is a dear friend of mine. Mahal ko ang taong iyan but since I can’t stand his obsession kay President Duterte even during the campaign period, binlock ko siya sa Facebook. What I kept lang is his phone number dahil magkaibigan nga kami. And he knows that. Nagkausap na kami and I told him about it and he understood naman.”
Sucaldito change of heart only happened after he was suspended from DZMM, ABS-CBN’s AM radio station, after he told actress Nadine Lustre to commit suicide. After that, he became critical of ABS-CBN and its franchise renewal while now being supportive of the Duterte administration.
