Musician Jimmy Bondoc lashed out at people who made fun of their event for President Rodrigo Duterte entitled “Singing for the President”.

On Facebook, the musician expressed dismay with people who have shown their hate over the online concert for the President.

He said that there’s nothing wrong about singing for a friend, referring to Duterte.

“There is nothing wrong with singing for a friend.
We have sung for frontliners, for many charities, for affected musicians, and more.
Now, we just want to sing for our friend.

“God bless all of the detractors. I am really praying for you. May all this hate leave all of our hearts and our lives. My whole life, music and prayer, and nothing else, have proven to be the most effective answer to hatred. Not debate, not legal positions, not retaliation, not anger. Prayer and music.

“So we will sing. August 30, Sabbath. Good morning, everyone! It’s a new day.

Jimmy, who is known to be a DDS or Duterte Diehard Supporter organized the event along with other personalities like Freddie Aguilar, Sal Panelo, Dulce, Tina Paner, Mocha Uson, Imelda Papin, and Kat de Castro. They collaborated with NDM Studios and the concert for the President will be held online this coming Sunday, August 30, 2 pm onwards.

This event aims to express their support for Duterte who seems weak and pale in photos these past few days.

The online concert, however, earned the disdain of netizens and was the subject of ridicule.

"Singing for the President"?!?

See how they glorify Duterte instead of singing for a cause/charity.

They only care for Duterte's feelings lang talaga.. I guess these DDS, they really don't care for the people 🤷‍♂️

I’m sorry but does mocha uson sings? She barely knows how to manage facts. And bakit may pa singing for the president? In remembrance na ba?

I suggest that we flood Twitter during “Singing For The President” with pictures of victims killed in his war on drugs. And when I say flood, I mean a flood of biblical scale.
Anybody in?
