Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. gave an update regarding his condition as a COVID-19 positive patient and said that he entrusts his healing to God.
The senator announced on August 9 that he tested positive to COVID-19 but assured the public that he is feeling okay and his wife and other family members are negative.
According to Revilla, his symptoms were an allergy and eye redness which he though was sore eyes.
However, he consulted an ophthalmologist who said that it may be COVID-19.
After getting the diagnosis of the doctor, Revilla immediately isolated himself and underwenta swab test which eventually turned our as positive.

In a Facebook live video on Monday, a day after he announced that he is positive, Revilla gave an update regarding his condition and said that he surrenders his condition to God.
“I’m okay. Pero sabi nga eh, ‘If it’s your time, it’s your time.’ ‘Pag tinawag ka na ng Panginoon, ‘Time to go,’ you go,'” he said.
“That’s why I prayed last night bago ako matulog. Sabi ko nga ‘Lord… Kayo na pong bahala sa akin. Alam kong hindi Niyo ako pababayaan,” he added.
His family members showed concern about his condition.
Cavite Vice Governor Jolo Revilla appealed to the public to help them pray for the recovery of his father.

“Sa awa ng Diyos, asymptomatic naman po siya habang ang aking ina na si Mayor Lani sampu ng aming pamilya ay nag-negatibo. Malaki po ang magagawa ng ating pinagsama-samang panalangin,” Jolo wrote.
Meanwhile, Lani Mercardo, Bong’s wife, was saddened as she cannot take care of her husband personally because of the contagiousness of the virus.
“Papaano mo maipapakita ang pag-aasikaso at pag-aalaga sa iyong asawa na positive sa Covid-19? Hindi mo masamahan. Hindi mo mayakap. Hindi mo mahagkan dahilan sa kailangang mag-14 day isolation muli,” she said.
