It seems the network war is shifting to the online world.
This after GMA Network followed ABS-CBN’s pivot to online broadcasting.
Last Saturday, August 1, ABS-CBN unveiled Kapamilya Online Live which is ABS-CBN’s home in the online world.
After their shutdown through NTC’s cease and desist order and the House of Representative’s denial of its franchise application, ABS-CBN shifted to online broadcasting to continue being of service to the Filipino people.
Kapamilya Online Live features classic well-loved ABS-CBN shows and also new episodes of current shows like “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano,” “It’s Showtime,” “ASAP Natin ‘To,” “”Love Thy Woman,” “A Soldier’s Heart,” “Magandang Buhay,” “Paano Kita Mapasasalamatan,” and “Iba Yan.”
Meanwhile, with the warm reception to ABS-CBN’s online platform, GMA Network seems to be following online.
On Sunday, August 2, Kapuso network launched its own online channel GETS or GMA Entertainment Shows Online. The launch was held on their Sunday nontime show All-Out Sundays featuring Dingdong Dantes, Marian Rivera, Alden Richards, Carla Abellana, Tom Rodriguez, Heart Evangelista, Glaiza de Castro, among others.
GETS offered on-demand and 24/7 viewing of different exclusive digital content including comedy capsules ng YouLOL, short films from GMA TeleBahay, and episodes of AOS Stay at Home Party.
GETS also shows several Kapuso dramas including Anak Ni Waray Vs. Anak Ni Biday vlogs, Prima Donnas Watch From Home, DOTS How You Do It, and Let’s Talk Love of Love of My Life.
