In a Twitter post, Ethel Booba showed her support for Deputy Speaker and SAGIP party list Rep. Rodante Marcoleta.
The comedienne described Marcoleta as a committed man and said she will give her vote to him in the next elections.
Marcoleta is said to be eyeing a seat as a senator in the 2022 elections.

Ethel, who has been vocal about her political views lately, earned criticisms as well as support from her followers because of her social media post.
Marcoleta was one of the lawmakers who questioned the broadcast operations of ABS-CBN during the hearing for the network’s franchise renewal. He gained the notoriety and criticism for repeatedly asking questions that had already been answered.
He was the one who brought up the issues on 50-year franchise limit, the citizenship of former ABS-CBN chairman Gabby Lopez, the constitutional violation on ABS-CBN offering of PDRs, the alleged illegal return of ABS-CBN to the Lopezes after the EDSA 1986 revolution, and the allegation on tax evasion through the use of PEZA accredited subsidiary Big Dipper.
One Twitter user then inferred that Ethel is happy with the forced shutdown of ABS-CBN for siding with Marcoleta.
The netizen reacted to her Twitter post and tagged Kapamilya star Vice Ganda who is one of her close friends.

Ethel Booba, is a TV personality, author, singer, and comedienne, once dubbed as “Twitter Goddess”. Ethyl Gabison is a former talent of GMA Network and was one of the hosts of Extra Challenge. She also guest judged for Kakaibang Idol, a special edition of Philippine Idol.
She also became one of the housemates of Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Edition 2. She had made several appearances on ABS-CBN shows.
