Film director Antoinette Jadaone and veteran actor Edu Manzano couldn’t help but praise the good works being done in Pasig by Mayor Vico Sotto.
In their tweets, the two commended how Vico changed the branding of Pasig that is geared towards highlighting the city and its citizens and not any politician.
Jadaone lauded Pasig’s branding that does not include the name or initials of a politician like it used to be in the past decades.
“No politician’s name/initial at all! Nakakapanibago for a Pasigueño!”

Edu Manzano commended Vico for effective messaging despite his age.
“For someone so young this Mayor seems to know a lot about effective messaging. No self-promotion. Kudos to you Mayor Vico. (BTW, I’ve never met the Mayor)”

Vico has earned praise from almost everyone for his effective and efficient programs especially during this time of the pandemic.
Vico was the first to use drones to help disinfect the city. Instead of giving cash aid, Pasig used grocery and food stubs so that the money can’t be used for gambling or for anything else other than buying citizens’ essential needs.
Sotto also deployed mobile palengkes to avoid crowding their markets.
And just recently, a netizen posted how Vico prioritized healthcare through their COVID-19 isolation facilities.
According to the netizen, they were fed three times a day, given a regular supply of vitamins, and set a weekly schedule of COVID-19 PCR tests. And the good thing is that everything was free. She said she did not spend a single centavo during her stay in the Pasig COVID-19 facility until she recovered.

Vico is one of the Metro Manila mayors who was praised for their stellar performance in fighting against COVID-19. His exemplar job even caught the national government’s ire when he asked for Pasig tricycles to continue operating.
