In a Facebook live video, Alden Richards was asked if he had a hard time working apart from his love team partner Maine Mendoza when he worked with other leading ladies.
The actor said it was not an issue as he and Maine have done separate projects before.
“Hindi naman po kasi since si Maine po has done couple of projects before with different partners as well and nagkaroon rin po ako ng ganung projects,” he answered.
Alden also clarified that he and Maine are on good terms with each other.
“Then, sa ngayon naman po we are very comfortable working together sa Eat Bulaga everyday, parang there’s no gap between us and we’re very happy working together,” he said.
He also said that their separation in their previous projects allow them to grow and learn more.
“It’s really a matter of growth, parang both of us gained more experience and mas marami kaming natutunan when we started working separately and now we were back together, parang we’re more whole,” Alden said.
Meanwhile, Alden was also asked whether he was surprised by the reaction of people to his chemistry with Bea Alonzo.
“Nagulat po ako ma’am, hindi naman po lingid sa kaalaman ng lahat na si Bea Alonzo po, idol ko po talaga sila ni John Lloyd (Cruz) sa mga movies na ginagawa nila, I was star struck when I first worked with her,” he replied.
“And I’m very happy with the result, the outcome nung feedback sa endorsement namin together and sana po we can even do other projects other than that commercial and endorsement,” he added.
In July, Head and Shoulders Philippines released the first official joint project of Bea and Alden now called together as BeaDen.
Recently, during the online launch of Cosmo Cee, Alden divulged that Bea Alonzo was his dream Kapamilya leading lady.
