Actor Christian Bables said that he was emotionally affected by what is happening to the country and ABS-CBN.
In an exclusive interview with PUSH, the actor said that situation of the Philippines at present caused by the pandemic is like a ‘rollercoaster’ ride.
[It’s like a rollercoaster. At first, I was happy because I thought that the lockdown will only last for a short time and it will be a time for me to rest after consecutive shoots and tapings. As it keeps on extending, I felt sad because I was not able to go home to my family in Cavite]
He said that the pandemic served as a time for him to learn new things and give time for himself.
I also got the time to reconnect with my core,” Bables said.
However, he still expressed how grateful he is that despite everything that’s happening, God didn’t leave him.
[I am just so grateful to God because all of my family is in good health. And I did not regret trusting to God everything because there are a lot of blessings that he gave me]
“Hindi man natupad ang inasahan kong plano para sa taon na ito, pinalitan Niya ito ng mas malalaking blessings,” he added.
[My plans for this year may not be fulfilled yet he replaced it with bigger blessings]
Aside from the pandemic, he was also immensely affected by the closure of ABS-CBN. He said that he was hurt by what happened to ABS-CBN as the network was the first to believe in his capabilities as an actor.
“Sobra po akong nasasaktan para sa kumpanyang naging instrumento ni God para maging realidad ang mga pangarap ko,” he said.
[I was immensely hurt for the company which became the instrument of God to make my dreams into reality]
[Because they are the first people who showed trust in my capabilities as an actor]
He also expressed sympathy to those who lost their jobs because of the shutdown of the network owned by the Lopezes.
The actor reiterated that he will be forever grateful to ABS-CBN as it opened the doors to his acting career.
[Aside from cultivating my talent as an actor, they are also one of those who gambled on me. They are the first who open their doors for me, to reach wherever I am today. I’ll be forever grateful to the Kapamilya network]
Christian is a multi-awarded actor who is known for his role as Barbs in the movie Die Beautiful, for which he was awarded the Best Supporting Actor Award at the Gawad Urian.
