After rumors and speculations arose that Janella Salvador allegedly got rejected by TV5 after she showed a bad attitude, Janella’s manager, Manny Valera, denied this controversy and said that her contract has always been with him and not with ABS-CBN or Star Magic which means they would be the ones to deny the offer.
According to Valera, the said offer was for a talk show, Rise and Shine with Pokwang and other co-hosts.
Valera is thankful for the offer but he decided not to accept it since they don’t want to ruin Janella’s image by leaving ABS-CBN especially right after the franchise rejection.
“Since fresh na fresh pa yung issue ng non-renewal ng ABS-CBN franchise. We didn’t want it to appear na we’re such in a hurry to leave the Kapamilya network kasi they were nice and supportive naman to her.”
For Manny, the Rise and Shine talk show was a good offer but they’re really not in a hurry to have Janella get a new project especially since COVID-19 cases are still rising in the country.
“Maganda naman yung talk show they’re offering but we thought it best huwag magmadali and to just wait and see muna. We’re hoping there will be other offers sa last quarter of the year and sana, by that time, natapos na rin itong health crisis na pinagdaraanan natin sa ngayon.”
Also, Valera mentioned that ABS-CBN was Janella’s home network for the last decade which build her image as a great actress.
“It was Janella’s home for the past ten years and her last teleserye, The Killer Bride, was a hit. Wala namang nagmaldita during our meeting.”
Recently, rumors and allegations rose when a veteran columnist claimed that Kapamilya star was expected to be on TV5 for a new series, but things didn’t work out because of her attitude.
According to veteran columnist Salve Asis, “Ayon sa chika, nagmaldita raw kasi ito sa isang tumawag sa kanya na may say sa gagawin sanang programa. Ayun, nakaalpas pa raw ang sanay at siguradong trabaho na. Habang sinusulat namin ito ay hindi pa nagbabago ang isip ng kampo ng kukuha sana kay Janella.”
It can also be recalled that Janella became a hot topic during the quarantine when her PA (personal assistant) Michelle Pelongco went to Raffy Tulfo in Action to complain about her unpaid salary.
But Janella went on Twitter to answer the PA ‘s complaint, she clarified that her former employee was only twisting the story to get money from her.
