Some Kapamilya stars seem to be quiet over the franchise renewal issue of ABS-CBN.
One of them is Popstar Royalty Sarah Geronimo who has not spoken out for her home network.
Netizens could not help but compare Regine Velasquez and Sarah for the concern they have shown for ABS-CBN.

Meanwhile, Sarah was bashed for being silent over the issue and being married to Matteo Guidicelli whom they tagged as a DDS.
They blamed Matteo for Sarah’s alleged silence on the ABS-CBN issue. Matteo has not expressed any support for ABS-CBN either.
Netizen Kier Ramos expressed his disappointment with Sarah, saying “chose to be quiet after all that’s been happening. Tapos she married a DDS pa.”

Another netizen also sided with Kier Ramos on how Sarah has decided just to be silent about the issue, “Popster here and definitely not a DDS so hirap din ako minsan. I’ll say I’m kinda disappointed she’s been silent about the issue.”
But the netizen then said that Sarah has been apolitical since the start.

In a previous article by LionhearTV, Sarah confirmed that she will not endorse any political candidate.
“Marami po kasi akong natutunan noong mga panahon na nag-e-endorse ako. Hindi lang isa, dalawa o tatlo pa sabay-sabay; minsan may magkaiba pang party. Parang sabi ko, hindi tama ito.”
Sarah Geronimo wasn’t the only ABS-CBN celebrity who was called out for not using their voice and making a stand about the closure of their network.
Funny that most of the heavy-hitting, homegrown, huge, popular and very influential ABS-CBN artists and celebrities are all silent in these times. Too comfortable living your best lives now? I can only see few that are absolutely vocal and using their platforms to voice out.
