With ABS-CBN shut down by Congress, celebrities and staff are looking for other places where they can continue their craft.
Former Kapamilya stars Pokwang and Jessy Mendiola will now be seen on the subsidiary of TV5 network, Cignal Entertainment.
Jessy will headline her own wellness program, Fit for Life, under Cignal Entertainment.
It was two weeks ago when Jessy Mendiola proudly announced on her Instagram page that she can’t wait for her fans to see her upcoming new show.
Sporting athletic get up, Jessy captioned her photo with, “Can’t wait for my new show to come out! Abangan. ❤️💪🏻”

At a press conference on September 24, Jessy finally cleared up rumors about her leaving ABS-CBN’s Star Magic management.
“Nagpaalam ako nang maayos. And sila Mr. M [Johnny Manahan], Tita Mariole [Alberto], they were very understanding. Sabi nila sa akin, ‘Dadating talaga sa point na ganyan, e.’ Kasi, marami din naman talagang artista na nag-try na mag-explore sa ibang bagay. So, pinayagan nila ako. Walang struggle or whatever,” she said.
Meanwhile, comedienne Pokwang is co-hosting a new game show, Fill in the Banks, with Jose Manalo, created by Mike Tuviera’s APT Entertainment.
She will also be teaming up with Pauleen Luna and a teenage princess at APT’s Rise and Shine daily morning series.
Pokwang also confirmed her transfer to another network when a netizen raised questions about it.
“@misspendon yes totoo naman yan kasi last year pa ako nagpapaalam wala pang pandemic at bearing sa prangkisa, yes matagal sa akong nagpaalam pero di ako pinayagan alam ng mga boss yan! Hindi ba pwede sumuporta muna bago umalis? May mga kaibigan akong maiiwan teh!”
As TV5 has opened up new opportunities for performers and block timers through its cable subsidiary Cignal Entertainment, these 2 Kapamilya stars are set to conquer another network.
