Kapuso actress Jennylyn Mercado has been trending for her strong stance and support of ABS-CBN when the network’s franchise bid got rejected.
When asked during her #askJen Q&A on Twitter, she proudly shared what she had learned as a Kapuso in relation to what is happening to the other network, “Sa 17 years ko na bilang Kapuso, natutunan ko na manindigan sa aking paniniwala at lumaban para matupad ang aking mga pangarap.”

Jennylyn also added that showing respect and helping those who are in need are some of the things that she will value until she’s old, “At higit sa lahat na huwag kalimutang rumespeto at laging unahin ang pag mamalasakit sa kapwa. Mga values dadalhin ko hanggang pagtanda.”
In a following tweet, Jen shared how she experiencing losing everything inspires her to help others to not feel the same thing that she felt before.

Kapuso actress Jennylyn Mercado has been outspoken about her opinions on contentious topics, including endorsing ABS-CBN employees whose future seems to be grim after the renewal of the franchise network was rejected by Congress.
In Jennylyn’s Twitter post, she defended ABS-CBN employees who might lose their jobs from bashers who rejoiced in the shutdown of the network.

Jennylyn also complained about officials who broke the law but remained unpunished. She also said that “if anyone is to be kept to the same level” they would not be honored.
