New York, July 17th, 2020, Unction was born when Jels Quiah and his A&R mentor Jay Newton came together in a session. Major Lazer’s Walshy Fire came on board with creative direction, as Ice Prince also delivered verses for Unction.
After the song was born, Jels management team, headed by Abz Abubakar felt like the song needed a finishing touch. Multi-platinum selling artist Davido subsequently came on board and delivered the third verse on the song.
Jay enlisted multi-platinum selling producer and writer Karl Wolf to produce the session. Making “Unction” one of the most anticipated world releases.
