Queen of All Media Kris Aquino shared her realizations about her recent career development and about her life as well.
She posted on her Instagram brief but meaningful words that explain as to what she is going through as of the moment.
In her post, Kris thanked her sisters for being the source of her peace and calm and Atty. Gideon Peña for his diligence in protecting her. She thanked Cornerstone Entertainment Inc. President Erickson Raymundo and Vice President Jeffrey Vadillo for giving her the opportunity to find a more exciting path for her to take. She also thanked her sons for being her pillars of strength and for embracing her with their warmth of love.
She mentioned that she can’t give a full explanation since she does not possess any clear facts. It was announced weeks ago that Kris will be having a TV comeback but it was reportedly put on hold. She was supposed to host a talk show called Love Life with Kris that was set to beginson July 25, Saturday on TV5.
“BUT- my heart knows that the station where I was to have a block time slot is a part of a huge conglomerate that took a risk with me with their prized jewels when I embarked on my digital journey in 2017,” Kris said.
Kris signed a deal with Cornerstone Entertainment which ended her two-year hiatus from showbiz. She landed a cameo in Hollywood film Crazy Rich Asians in August 2018 as Princess Intan. But she took a break after having been diagnosed with an autoimmune disease called Chronic Spontaneous Urticaria that same year.
The actress-host said that she believes in the conglomerate leader’s integrity for opening their doors to her even though some turned their backs on her.
“And I BELIEVE in their leader’s INTEGRITY. That conviction though tested, because after all I am HUMAN, remain steadfast,” she said.
“When others turned their backs on me, his group opened their doors… kaya simple lang, smart na ko…” she added.

She said that she is now capable of ‘silence’ because she is more mature now and can control her emotions better. But the act of ‘selflessness’ remains unattributable to her.
“SELFLESSNESS: an admirable quality, I admit, was unattributable to me… but that’s why my father’s life anthem was IMPOSSIBLE DREAM.. I am proudly his daughter in every sense of the word,” she said.
Kris also shared her opinion on ‘pain’ and ‘patience’ saying that pain is what will give us a better understanding of ourselves and that it will help us know what we are capable of and that patience is what four years have taught her.
The 49-year-old actress-host then talked about ‘family,’ quoting the famous line: “Together we stand, divided we fall.”
She stated that the line is what they promised to their mother that highlights the importance of unity. Her sisters and her brother were reminded that unity is strength. That a single person cannot do everything on his own. That working together can easily perform a difficult job.
“‘A deathbed promise of UNITY COME WHAT MAY we made to our mother… a few weeks before her 11th death anniversary, we had to be reminded by tails that would break even the strongest, that we were born SURVIVORS,” Kris wrote.
“We had a MOM who shielded us, protected us, patiently molded us, all the while ultimately fulfilling her PROMISE TO OUR FATHER; and in my case, she believed the day would come when I would not give in to my worst impulses and only choose battles worth putting my armor on for,” she added.
She talked about how she will leave everything to ‘destiny’ in dictating the perfect time to express all the things that she wants to talk about regarding her family’s recent story. That she continues to spread hope to people in any way that she can as a citizen and as a mother.
“Time shall dictate when I can share my story, our family’s recent story with you… I pray to have a larger forum to give you HOPE because as a mother I know, the strength of our country will come from investing in our future,” Kris said.
Kris also cited that her ‘children,’ are her reason for not giving up. Her children served as a source of strength for her to continue striving every day in her life. Knowing that everything she does is for the sake of her children’s well-being, she continues to survive in order to give them faith.
“CHILDREN: their health and nutrition, their education, their safety and wellbeing… And I know all parents share my sentiments. We must survive today, in order to give them FAITH in TOMORROW,” she said.
Kris Aquino’s debut film appearance was in Pido Dida: Sabay Tayo and was also known for her roles in horror films Feng Shui and Sukob. She hosted numerous talk shows and game shows, starred in several films and television series. She hosted Kris TV, a lifestyle-magazine talk show on ABS-CBN that ran from June 2011 to April 2016.
