Actress Nikki Valdez wrote an open letter to every ABS-CBN employee on the verge of losing their jobs due to the failure of Congress to renew the media giant’s franchise.
On Instagram, Nikki shared a photo of herself and husband Luis Garcia hugging each other as he might be the next employee to bid his job goodbye in the coming days.
The Kapamilya network said laying off workers was the only way to ensure the continued employment of the rest of its employees. The executives did not reveal how many workers will be retrenched.
Valdez went on saying it is so easy for the critics to say they are overreacting because they are not the ones experiencing it.
‘Yung iba nga nagdidiwang pa,” said Nikki.
Her lengthy post according to Nikki is dedicated to the 70 lawmakers who voted against the only hope the network had to renew its franchise.
Only 11 lawmakers boldly took a stand and voted for yes to ABS-CBN franchise renewal.
Nikki has a message to her Kapamilya family: “Kapamilya, kapit lang.
