Following ABS-CBN’s rejected franchise offer, one of the prized talents of the network, actor Jericho Rosales took to his social media account to share his reaction to the denial.
On Instagram, he opted for a positive outlook following Congress’s denial of a fresh license to the broadcast network.
“Ramdam ang pagyuko ng bawat isang umasa. Ramdam ang bigat sa katahimikang hindi na kailangan ipaliwanag. Nagkakaintindihan sa magkasingtunog na buntong hininga. Masakit man ang pagkatalo ngayon, ito ang mas magpapatamis sa tagumpay na nagaantay.”

Being a Kapamilya for almost 23 years and renewing his contract last 2018, Rosales believes that tomorrow will be a new day for the network.
“Bukas muling titingala. Hindi bawal ang tumingala. Ngayong gabi tingnan ang mga tala. Bukas ramdamin ang araw. Walang harang ang himpapawid. Kakabig lang muna ng kaunti. Tuloy ang buhay. Tuloy ang pagmamahal. Tuloy ang biyahe. Hanggang sa muli, kap.”
Jericho Rosales has been a Kapamilya since 1997 and known as the Asian Drama King. He gained international attention with Pangako Sa’Yo.

ABS-CBN has been trying to extend its franchise since 2014, but faced a variety of roadblocks, particularly under the administration of President Rodrigo Duterte, who repeatedly vowed to close it.
The shutdown puts the job security of some 11,000 workers at risk. Each day it has been off the air, ABS-CBN loses about P35 million.
