Kapamilya star Janella Salvador was supposed to be cast for a new show on TV5 but things didn’t work out.
It was reportedly her attitude that caused the Kapatid network to drop her as a candidate for the show.
It can be recalled that Janella, along with Kisses Delavin and Ria Atayde were earlier considered for a morning talk show in TV5 entitled Rise and Shine. In the end, only Kapamilya actress Ria Atayde was chosen for the show that will be aired on TV5 along with her co-hosts Pokwang and Pauleen Luna Sotto.
Janella recently became controversial after her PA (personal assistant) Michelle Pelongco went to Raffy Tulfo in Action to complain about her unpaid salary.
The former PA claimed that Janella did not give the supposed 3,600 pesos as payment for the 12 days she worked as an assistant.
The Kapamilya artist took to Twitter to address the PA’s complaint saying that her former employee was just twisting the story to get money from her.
She mentioned that her post will be “the only time that you are gonna hear from me about this PA ‘issue'”.

“I really don’t believe I have to defend myself because trial by media is not the appropriate venue for this,” she said
“If you believe in your own lies and I really violated something, sue me,” she added.
The actress said that the whole issue was not worth her time and that she would gladly give the P3,600 to other people who deserve it.
“If you’re gonna twist the story in your desperate attempt to get money from me… sorry, hun 3.6k is small and I would gladly give it to someone who deserves it,” Janella said.
The PA also claimed that Salvador paid her only P8,000 a month and that other PAs were paid higher.
One of Tulfo’s staff said they reached out to Salvador, who then referred them to her handler. After texting and calling the handler, they were told, “Will get back to you.”
Raffy Tulfo, the host of Raffy Tulfo in Action, was made aware of Janella’s Twitter post and he immediately aired his honest reaction about it.
He stated that if the celebrity presented documents such as payslips, he and the show would have sided with her on the said issue. Raffy also mentioned that he already considers the case “closed” and he will do his best to help Michelle in case Janella tries to file a legal complaint.
“Consider this as case closed. Maliban na lang kung magdedemanda si Janella. Lilitaw na kaming dalawa ang magdedemandahan…. Kahit saan makarating, hindi ko bibitiwan itong si Michelle. Gagastusan ko ‘to para sanggain yung demandang ikakaso ni Janella,” he said.
“I hope not. Kapag nagkademandahan, lalong lalaki ang kaso. Dehadong-dehado ka dito, Janella. So if I were you, tutal nabayaran ko naman na, keep quiet ka na lang,” he added.
With the shutdown of the ABS-CBN by the house committee on legislative franchises, the network’s management advised the public that they will be halting the production of ABS-CBN Current Affairs programs.
Even though ABS-CBN has already suspended the management/talent contract of its artists, those who belong to Star Magic pool will still be managed by the network’s talent management arm.
Kapamilya talents are now allowed to change networks given the condition that they will first talk to the management about their decision. The shutdown of the media giant made the artists consider jumping ship because they will still need to earn a living.
Reports stated that some Kapamilya stars have already started working projects in the Kapatid network or TV5 just like Jessy Mendiola and Pokwang.
Janella Salvador has spent most years of her showbiz career under the management of ABS-CBN. She was given a chance to be part of the hit morning series Be Careful With My Heart which introduced her to many opportunities in the industry. She also starred in Oh My G!, So Connected, Born for You, and The Killer Bride. Janella recently starred in Touch Screen on ABS-CBN’s digital content platform iWant.
