Kapamilya artist Julia Montes offered her support and sympathy for the ABS-CBN network when she posted a prayer on her Instagram account.
She asked for the Lord’s guidance for the sake of all the ABS-CBN employees who are suffering from the network’s shutdown. She said that the hardships that her home network is suffering from are not a joke. The lives and employment of thousands of people are on the line with the rejection of the network’s franchise renewal. Adding up the COVID-19 pandemic, ABS-CBN employees are helpless as they struggle to finance day-to-day expenses for their families.
“Lord tulungan nyo po kame … hindi na biro ang ginagawa sa aming mahal na tahanan…” Julia said.
“paano po ang mga anak nyo na umaasa sa Kumpanya,” she added.
The artist showed that she cares for her fellow Kapamilya as she prayed for those employees who rely on ABS-CBN. She asked the Lord to guide them all and to continue to give them the strength to go on with whatever struggles they are experiencing right now.
“kame po ay lumalapit na gabayan nyo po kame sa laban na ito,” she said.
Despite all the negative things that have occurred in following ABS-CBN’s shutdown, Julia still hasn’t lost her faith with God and continues to offer her prayers to Him. Her faith only strengthens as she faces the struggles and challenges that life has brought her.
She continues to be vocal with her beliefs and encourages the people to support the network as well. She wanted the people to be aware that ABS-CBN deserves a franchise renewal because the network has done so many good things for the people. The network has been in the service of the Filipino people and could have done a lot more for them especially during this pandemic.
Julia wanted the people to know this when she said, “Imulat ang lahat sa TAMA at TOTOO.”
Just like when the congress announced the news of ABS-CBN franchise denial, Julia turned to the Lord leaving everything in His hands. Even though she was lost for words, she believes that everything will be alright if she would just continue to have faith.
“Lost for words…. LORD guide us,” she wrote.
There have been rumors that Julia is planning to leave ABS-CBN. With what the network is going through right now, it is possible that the Kapamilya talents will want to switch to another network.
However, Julia Montes’ handler Mac Merla answered these rumors and proved them to be wrong. In an interview with Inquirer Bandera, Mac clarified the allegation saying that he and Julia had no idea that the rumor even exists.
Julia’s handler said he was shocked by the rumor. He explained that they did not talk about plans of transferring to another network and is planning to stay with ABS-CBN.
“Buti pa sila alam nila. Ako, kausap ko lang si Julia kani-kanina lang wala kaming kaalam-alam, wala rin kaming napag-uusapan tungkol sa paglipat ni Julia,” Mac said.
Julia remains loyal to ABS-CBN and even supported the network when it was denied a franchise renewal by the congress. She expressed her emotions with the network’s shut down through a post on Instagram.
The post was captioned as “I’m so saddened and heartbroken.”
The Kapamilya actress shares her grief and sorrow with all her fellow artists who were disheartened with the news. She was also saddened for the fate of the ABS-CBN employees who will be left jobless. Through her post, she proved that she will stand by ABS-CBN and will continue supporting the network.
