Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez did not hold back her feelings when she shared how she feared that she and her co-workers could possibly lose their jobs after the ABS-CBN Franchise denial.
On her Twitter account, she confessed that she was losing hope because of the likelihood that they would lose their job.
“Habang tumatagal aaminin ko napanghihinaan na ako ng loob. Hindi ko alam kung may trabaho pa kaming lahat.”
She even indirectly mentioned the people who put them into that miserable situation instead of defending their rights, “Ang nakakalungkot parang ikinatuwa pa ng mga taong dapat ay nagtatangol sa ating karapatan. Bakit ganito??? Sana panaginip lang lahat ng ito”
Meanwhile, Speaker Alan Peter Cayetano said that the Congress killing ABS-CBN’s application for a new franchise is a move that will benefit the Filipino people.
“We simply put an end to the privilege of one family in using a public resource to protect and promote their private interest was part of the changes that the Duterte administration has vowed to bring to the country.”
Cayetano even added that the killing of the franchise applicant was “only part of this season’s uprooting of the weeds and reclaiming heritage from the oligarchs.”
While she only returned to ABS-CBN in 2018, Regine has proven herself a loyal Kapamilya.
