News resurfaced that Unkabogable Star Vice Ganda was rejected by TV5 network to be one of their stars after the comedian’s camp reportedly asked for an excessive talent fee.
According to Philstar news, that the talent fee requested by the Vice Ganda’s Camp was P3-M per month for a weekly series.
But the Vice immediately clarified and addressed this issue. On the Instagram story of ABS-CBN’s It’s Showtime host, he posted a screenshot of the news article and captioned it with, “Mga Ulul! Mga bulaang ulul! #PekFakeNews”
This rumor became more unlikely after Vice Ganda’s latest announcement of the launch of his digital network, Vice Ganda Network.
Following the footsteps of Oprah Winfrey and after conquering the television, movies, and even the world of cosmetics. Vice has decided to open his own network: The Vice Ganda Network.
With this digital network, the comedian hopes to provide employment to displaced workers of ABS-CBN.
“Ang hirap, everyday there’s a new heartache. Ang dami talagang challenges, pero kailangang kumapit. Life is is so precious, ‘di pwedeng bumitaw! We have been focused sa fame, sa pera at sa pagso-social media. Pero ngayon pwede mo nang bitawan ang lahat na yan! The most important thing is to protect our health and trust in the Lord!
“Una naming gustong i-accommodate ‘yung mga nawalan ng trabaho sa ABS-CBN—mga writers, graphic artists and other talents, especially ‘yung mga nakatrabaho ko na noon pa.”
Vice also cited that ABS-CBN heads Carlo Katigbak and Cory Vidanes and among others were the ones who challenged him and gave him the blessing to go digital.
“Sabi nila gumawa kayo ng paraan para maka-reach out sa publiko. ‘Di kayo pwedeng mawala sa kamalayan ng audience. Ang dami pang pwedeng gawin sa digital. This is the challenge and as artists we have to serve our purpose na pasayahin pa ang tao.”
