Bianca Manalo pleaded with lawmakers to have the heart for ABS-CBN executives, talents, personnel, and employees concerning the network’s franchise renewal.
“Congress of the Philippines… puso naman po ❤️🙏🏻 5 million na ang walang trabaho.. mag tulungan po naman sana tayo.”
She hoped that Congress would be considerate especially on the permanent retrenchment that could happen if the network will be shut down permanently.
In another post, Bianca shared ABS-CBN’s full statement on the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) airing on ABS-CBN TV Plus and SKY Direct.
As seen on the photo’s caption, the beauty queen turned actress was very disappointed.
“Lahat nalang? 💔 Ano po bang gusto niyo? Padapa-in ang network? O tapos po? Pano na yung mga nag t-trabaho? Wala na?”
She also questioned one of the government’s promises to the Filipino people,
“Akala ko ba minsan niyong sinabi na huwag kayo mag-alala, andito ang gobyerno para tulungan kayo. Huwag kayo matakot.'”

Previously, at the franchise hearing, President and CEO Carlo Katigbak said that ABS-CBN Corp could consider retrenching by August if it does not resume broadcasting soon as the network has lost P30-35 million in advertising revenue every day after regulators forced it out of the air.
“We continue to lose a substantial amount of money every month and I’m afraid that if we cannot get back on air soon, by August, we may already have to consider beginning a retrenchment process.”
As of now, it has not been clear on what would the judgment of the Congress would be because most of the violations charged to the network have been proved false.
