Former Kapamilya artist Daryl Ong, who was reportedly banned from ABS-CBN, went on social media to give a message to his friends and former co-artists at the network.
On his Instagram account, he expressed his prayers for them, citing that his journey with them may have ended, but their friendship and love for them did not come to an end.
“Extending prayers for friends, former co-workers/co-artists in ABS-CBN. my journey with them may have ended but my friendship and love for them will always be here with me. I pray and hope for nothing but the best for everyone especially in this time of pandemic.”

Recently, Daryl shared that he was no longer with ABS-CBN because he was banned by a Kapamilya boss.
In a YouTube video posted on Monday, 15 June, Ong outlined the circumstances that led to this.
Daryl said it was unfortunate that his harmless remark on the ABS-CBN franchise cost him and Bugoy Drilon their network jobs.
“Sabi ni Bugoy na 60 thousand na lang yung kulang para mabuo yung 1 million. Ako naman nakita ko rin yun, ang pagkakakita ko naman 60 thousang pa lang yung nagsasign. So sabi ko kay Bugs [Bugoy] ‘Hindi, hindi 60 thousand na lang, 60 thousang pa lang at anong petsa na….Wala na yan malabo na yan hindi na yan aabot kasi 60 thousang pa lang anong petsa na.”
According to Daryl, their discussion about the franchise ended there, but they didn’t realize that the person at their table was secretly recording their discussion.
And that recording was eventually handed over to one of the ABS-CBN executives who agreed to bar him and Bugoy from all ABS-CBN programs and events.
“After nun pagbalik namin ng Manila miniting kame ako ni ate K yung manager namin tapos kinuwento nya na yun na nga ah, ‘Daryl banned kayo ni Bugoy sa ABS,’” he said.
He said he was thankful for all the shows and projects entrusted to him that led to the growth of his career. He also added that he had no grudge against ABS-CBN, but only appreciation for giving him the chance to share his talent.
