Actress and singer Ara Mina hopes that lawmakers would consider ABS-CBN contributions throughout the years as the network seeks to renew its franchise.
On her Instagram account, Ara showed her support for ABS-CBN hoping that congress would appreciate the contributions of the network especially in the field of public service and entertainment to millions of Filipino people throughout the years.
She also said that the network has been the home not only for Kapamilya artists but also it has been a part of Filipino families.
But still, she respects the legal process of the ongoing Congressional hearings as she believes that the hearing is set not only for the ABS-CBN but also for the good of all Filipinos in and out of the country.
At the end of her message, she hopds and prayed that the ABS-CBN would manage to surpass the challenges it is facing.
A Dailypedia article listed some reasons ABS-CBN’s franchise should be renewed. Just like Ara had mentioned, ABS-CBN has been the number one source of entertainment for many years and a source of daily news and information.
The network also adheres to its tagline which is to be of “service” to the Filipino people as it aims to improve the lives of disadvantaged Filipino families in the Philippines and around the world.
Most importantly is the 11,071 employees who will be jobless if the ABS-CBN franchise renewal will not be approved by Congress. This is one of the primary reasons ABS-CBN is pleading for a renewal.
On Sunday, supporters and employees of the Kapamilya network wrote messages of encouragement on the freedom wall outside of the ABS-CBN offices.
