After her daughter Frankie Pangilinan was harassed by trolls on social media, Megastar Sharon Cuneta started questioning why some people find it so easy to hurt others like it is nothing to them in this time of the pandemic.
On Instagram, Cuneta wondered about her countrymen’s moral compass, lamenting how it is easy for some people to utter such unkind words.
Cuneta pointed out the resemblances to the world of showbiz, the world she grew up in, where intrigues come and go.
At ang baluktot, pilit itinutuwid,” she said.

Sharon has also expressed her disgust over how low Pinoys can be in terms of badmouthing fellow countrymen.
The Megastar believes that blood is thicker than water and that she will choose what is more important: her family.

Cuneta revealed that it is during times like this when she appreciates showbiz even more.
As difficult as the current situation is, Cuneta said she is just lifting everything up to God; leaving her followers with an uplifting verse quoted from the Bible. “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in times of trouble. Psalm 46:1-2.”
Recently, the Megastar fired back at entertainment writer and movie director Ronald C. Carballo for smearing her name on social media asking if the actress is already ‘laos’ and suggesting that Cuneta can retire from showbiz already.
In her response to the post, she also said that Carballo must be careful of using the word “Flop” as she clarifies that she still has nine unmatched hit movies with box-office queen trophies.
“Maaaring di na singlaki ng kinikita ng movies ko noong nakasiyam—count them—NINE—still UNMATCHED na BOX-OFFICE QUEEN TROPHIES ang kinikita ng movies ko ngayon, said Cuneta.
It can also be recalled that Sharon has reached to Justice Secretary Menandro Guevarra regarding a social media post of a netizen threatening to rape her daughter, Frankie Pangilinan. Cuneta wants the identity of the person and his location should be established, said Guevarra.
Guevarra said Cuneta has already identified the man, adding that it is ultimately her decision whether to file a case with Guevarra’s department. “We shall verify the respondent’s identity and address for the purpose of giving him notice,” Guevarra said.
