Furious former and current Kapamilya personalities slammed Sagip Partylist Rep. Rodante Marcoleta after he bullied Gabby Lopez at the House hearing on the ABS-CBN franchise.
On Monday, June 8, Sagip Partylist Rep. Marcoleta spent so much time questioning Lopez about his citizenship which was repeatedly answered by Lopez and his lawyers and was even concurred by government agencies DOJ and SEC.
Marcoleta, the main oppositor of the ABS-CBN franchise bills, belabored the issue of the former ABS-CBN chairman’s dual citizenship even going so far as asking him to recite the Panatang Makabayan.
The congressman even tried to make fun of Lopez by asking in what part of his heart will he put the US and the Philippines.
But Marcoleta’s bullying tactic didn’t work on Lopez as he failed to intimidate the former ABS-CBN boss.
With Marcoleta’s rude and repeated questioning, Kapamilya personalities could not help but blast the congressman.

Director Tonette Jadaone could not believe Lopez’s loyalty to the country was questioned, saying there are many people who have questionable loyalty to the country’s interests.

ABS-CBN News Digital Head Lynda Jumilla meanwhile said if reciting Panatang Makabayan is the measure of being a Filipino then many would be stateless now.
