Kapamilya actor and It’s Showtime host Vhong Navarro praised the noontime show Eat Bulaga for demonstrating adaptability and resilience during this time of the COVID-19 pandemic.
In a live online press meeting on Wednesday, June 10, Navarro admitted that he had checked out their GMA Network rival noontime show Eat Bulaga when they piloted their new normal measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
“Ngayon, ang sinasabing kompetisyon, parang wala nang kompetisyon kasi sa nakikita ko, ang lahat ngayon ang gusto lang magpasaya.”
The actor was impressed on how the show managed to make their audience and viewers happy despite the risk that virus could bring,
“Nakikita ko ‘yung ‘Eat Bulaga,’ nasilip ko sila nung isang araw, tina-try talaga nilang magpasaya kahit kulang-kulang sila.”
Recently, the show returned to live airing from the studio on June 8.
In the Instagram account show, “Eat Bulaga” posted a video showing the APT Studio in Cainta being disinfected.
The creativity and innovation of the show also went viral when the giant body shields were seen in the audience.

Furthermore, Vhong narrated that their noontime show, It’s Showtime will also do its best to bring happiness to their audiences and viewers, believing that Eat Bulaga and It’s Showtime won’t compete, but rather join hands to bring happiness to people.
“At ganun din ang ‘Showtime.’ Kahit kulang kami, ‘di pa talaga full force, nagpapasaya pa rin kami ng tao. Kumbaga, tulong-tulong ang ‘Eat Bulaga’ at ‘Showtime’ na magpasaya ng tao dahil alam nilang kailangang-kailangan nilang makalimot pansamantala sa mga problema nila at magbigay papremyo para makatulong sa mga nawalan ng trabaho.”
It’s Showtime is back via the Kapamilya Channel, on Sky Cable channel 8 and channel 167, and other Philippine Cable Television Association-member cable TV stations.
It was warmly welcomed, as evidenced by their hashtag for the day, # ShowtimeMagkaisayahan, topping Philippine Twitter trends.
“Alam namin hinihintay n’yo kami. Ito na magkakasama na tayo ulit. Sana magdire-diretso na,” Vice Ganda said.
