Kapuso star Michael Agassi confirmed his separation from wife Cherry Lou and even revealed his newfound love.
Michael broke his silence about their marriage on his private account on Instagram.
In his post, he shared that way back in 2018, he confronted his ex-wife that he couldn’t go on with whatever they have.
“In 2018, I told my ex-wife na hindi ko na kaya [I] wanted a separation but she ‘asked’ me in front of my mom for another chance which I gave in.”
Agassi then realized that he can’t go on anymore and it even impacted him negatively, especially when his ex-wife’s family comforted him in light of her wrongdoings.
“Last year Sept- Oct I told my ex na I’ cant go on anymore even though I tried. I felt alone and inggit ako na her family comforted her kahit sobrang mali ang ginawa niya.
“I was drinking almost every night for 40 days and needed someone to talk to. Ayokong ibigay lahat ng negative na nararamdaman ko sa mga closest friends ko kaya I chose not to burden them with it…”
But then a netizen reacted and commented that Agassi’s public revelation may have been too harsh for his ex-wife.
@nacario_suzetteparagoso said, “Give a lil respect po sa wife niyo. She doesn’t deserve this. Kailangan ba talaga mag post ng ganito?”
This comment was answered by Agassi who then revealed Cherry Lou had cheated on him.
“do i deserve na lokohin nya? May ka landian sya while mismong gf nung ka landian nya nag send sakin lahat ng evidence but that wans’t the reason why i cant go anymore.”
The netizen immediately apologized for her insensitive comment.
It also seems that the Kapuso star has found a new love. He proudly posted a photo of himself and his girlfriend who is a doctor and shared how she changed his life.
“Mid November, I met this beautiful doctor na confident sa sarili. As I got to know her, I found out hilig niya mag aral and continuos learning sya. Just by texting and talking to her daily kept me away drinking every night kasi I wanted her to see that I’m a good person.
“God gave me her and she’s a keeper”
From being Star Circle Batch 9 batchmates to becoming lovers, Michael Agassi and Cherry Lou tied the knot in Mystic Valley in 2008, a property owned by Michael’s family. He proposed to her three times, and she was pregnant with their first child when the knot was tied.
