The drivers have been able to receive P2,000 financial assistance from the local government, but this is not enough to support most families.
The drivers appealed to the government to allow conventional jeepneys to operate their routes but as of now the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board is still crafting guidelines for the resumption of operation of traditional jeepneys.
Since transforming a viral video intended to mock her into a certified hit, Kim launched merchandise focused on the # BawalLumabas meme to help raise funds for coronavirus mass testing in the Philippines.

Kim said the proceeds of the sale of merchandise would be contributed to initiatives to carry out the COVID-19 mass testing — specifically the initiative initiated by fellow actress Angel Locsin — and to create food packs for disadvantaged communities.
