This was the first time that Martin met Lapid at the Senate since the latter won the 2019 Senate elections, “While Lapid played the character of “Ang Pinuno” in the TV series. It was the first time Coco visited Lapid in the Senate after he won the 2019 senatorial elections.”
The meeting was photographed by the Public Affairs and Information Bureau of the Senate, which posted a snapshot on Facebook.
Lito Lapid is known for his action movies and returned to the roots of his action star via “Ang Probinsyano.” He played Romulo, more popularly known as Pinuno, the leader of Pulang Araw and later on Vendetta.
Recently, Coco Martin’s verified Instagram account with over 3.5 million followers was suddenly unavailable.
This was after the actor was bashed because of his statement during the Laban Kapamilya protest, and when Solicitor General Jose Calida reacted to the rant of the actor.
Solicitor General warned Martin saying if he weren’t the Solicitor General then he would have let the actor eat his own words.
“If I had not been the Solicitor General, I would have called his bluff and make him eat his words.”
While ABS-CBN remains off air, the network indicated that FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano will be one of the series that will debut on June 13 on the Kapamilya Channel on Sky, Cablelink and most of the Philippine Cable Television Association (PCTA) cable operators nationwide.
