LizQuen is set to return onscreen with a new series.
Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil were last seen in the primetime romance series Make It With You as Billie and Gabo.
Last week, ABS-CBN announced its return to broadcast on cable and satellite television by June 13. It did not mention Make It With You in the list of returning TV shows.
Liza’s manager Ogie Diaz then confirmed on Facebook that the show won’t make it back on TV.
“Sa mga nagtatanong kumbakit hindi nakasama ang Make It With You sa magbabalik sa telebisyon ngayong June. .. Ikinalulungkot ko pong ibalita sa inyo bilang manager ng isa sa bida (si Liza Soberano) na hindi na po ito mapapanood pa,” wrote Ogie.
Ogie said that the cast of Make It With You had been informed of the sad news, but was not told about the reason the network decided to cancel the LizQuen primetime series.
He also said that fans could expect a new LizQuen series.
“Alam na po ito ng lahat ng cast, lalo na ng LizQuen. Alam kong nabitin kayo sa love story nina Billie at Gabo, kaya hintayin na lamang po ang pagbabalik ng love team sa isa pang bagong teleserye. Salamat po, mga Kapamilya!”
Make it With You was partially filmed in Eastern Europe in Croatia and premiered on January 13, 2020. Unfortunately, the show’s run was shortened in March after TV productions were forced to stop due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Then the shutdown order issued by the NTC to ABS-CBN furthered delayed the Kapamilya show.
At the show’s media conference held last January, Liza aired her message for President Rodrigo Duterte regarding the franchise renewal of ABS-CBN.

She said, “I believe that he’s understanding and alam naman niyang maraming maaapektuhan, it’s not just the company itself, but all the employees. I’m sure he has a generous and an understanding heart. I hope he wakes up one morning and he thinks about it again and maging bukas yung puso niya sa smaller employees na nangangailangan ng trabaho.”
Liza and Enrique’s first series together was Forevermore (2014–2015). The two was then paired in the films Just The Way You Are (2015), Everyday I Love You (2015), My Ex and Whys (2017),
Alone/Together (2019) and the television series Dolce Amore (2016), Bagani (2018), and Make It With You (2020).
