Kapamilya artist Janice de Belen has spoken up once again about her alleged secret affair with fellow actor Gerald Anderson.
It was in 2015 when Janice’s name was dragged into the breakup of Gerald and his then-girlfriend Maja Salvador. Both Gerald and Maja denied that Janice was involved in their breakup which happened that year.
In a Facebook live interview last June 16, comedian and talent manager Ogie Diaz asked the actress if she still talks with the actor after the controversy.
Janice then said that they drifted apart due to the circulating rumors.
She said, “You know, sadly because of the chismis that happened, parang nag drift away yung friendship namin ni Gerald.”
Janice clarified that they only did this to avoid the judgment of the public aside from the two being busy with their own lives.
She explained, “Not because gusto naming, kasi kailangan mong iwasan eh para wala ng masabi yung mga tao diba? Iwas pusoy ka na lang.”
Janice recalled that she was linked to the young actor after working together in the drama series Budoy in 2012.
She portrayed the role of a mother to Gerald’s character in the said series. Similarly, she also acted as the mother of Maja in the family drama Ina, Anak, Kapatid aired in the same year.
Aside from Gerald, Janice admitted that she has a close bond with her younger colleagues like Enrique Gil, RK Bagatsing, Rayver Cruz, and Enchong Dee.
Janice then said this only proves that she is just a talkative and friendly person negating their rumored romance. The Kapamilya star added that she treats Gerald as her younger brother.
