If you’re one of those who wonder who looks after JaDine’s baby Calcifer, the Welsh Corgi, it’s no other than mommy Nadine Lustre.
For the first time since their breakup in January, James Reid and Nadine reunited in a joint live interview with MYX Philippines.
During the interview, they talked about the concept and the making of their collaborations “Fiend” and “Summer” which were already released last year. “Summer” and “Fiend” are currently nominated for MYX’s Music Video of the Year and Urban Video of the Year respectively.
Aside from this, they also shared what issues they feel for the most and left a few words of advice and inspiration for those who are feeling down and struggling at this very difficult time.
They also mentioned in the interview that they keep their communication lines open with each other since they still collaborate when it comes to music.
When asked about the whereabouts of their baby corgi Cal, Lustre smilingly said, “He’s with me.”
“He’s sleeping so I don’t wanna wake him up,” she added.
During their online reunion, it was so hard not to notice that the couple were still wearing their ‘Team Real’ necklace which got their fans talking.

It’s already four long months since James and Nadine officially called it quits leaving their fans confused, sad, and overly concerned about who will take good care of ‘Calcifer.
Back in the days they were still happily living under one roof, Reid, 27, and Lustre, 26, got a Pembroke Welsh Corgi dog they named as ‘Calcifer Dante Pendragon’ whom they adopted from Rockaway Kennel.
The corgi’s three names obviously came from characters of the 2004 Hayao Miyazaki film Howl’s Moving Castle and the video game series Devil May Cry.
The former couple took care of Cal like their child.
From then, Cal has made appearances in the couple’s social media posts and they even brought him along to several projects they had.
But following the couple’s breakup, netizens were worried about the said dog.
JaDine was born after Nadine, who was known as a former member of Pop Girls, became James’ on-screen partner and worked together on several films and music videos.
In 2014, the two starred in two films together – Diary ng Panget and Talk Back You’re Dead.
Other movies they starred in were Para sa Hopeless Romantic (2015), This Time (2016), and Never Not Love You (2018) which was their last film together as a couple.
They also did teleseryes which fans really loved.
It was only the start of the JaDine fever when their first teleserye, On The Wings of Love, became a nationwide success. This was followed by Till I Met You.
The then reel loveteam came out as a real-life couple at their Jadine in Love concert held at Araneta Coliseum on February 20, 2016.
In 2019, the two have been visibly absent from each other’s social media for a while but were spotted celebrating the start of 2020 together in Rockwell, Makati.
Rumors then started to circulate that JaDine already split up until they confirmed it through a joint statement on January 20 where they clarified that even though they decided to call it quits, they are on “good terms” and are still “really good friends”.
