Vivian Velez is someone who is very vocal about her strong political views and is quick to comment on social media. She had a recent argument with actress Jaclyn Jose because of their different views on Pinky Amador’s viral video.
Jose lambasted Velez for defending Amador as she implied that cursing and humiliating the staff was uncalled for despite Amador’s valid concerns. Jose later apologized to Velez but the latter turned down the apology.’
In a talk with Philstar writer Cristy Fermin, Isabel Rivas said that she fully supports Jose’s side. She claimed that this is because she knows Velez well and has not always gotten along with her fellow veteran actress.
“Ngayon lang sumambulat ang kanyang emosyon, pero marami pala siyang hindi kagandahang karanasan nu’ng maging magkaibigan sila ni Ms. Body Beautiful, mga kuwentong hinding-hindi niya makakalimutan,” Fermin said.
Rivas shared that her relationship with Velez is like that of siblings but she would get insulted by the latter. She even tagged Velez a ‘user’ for taking advantage of people and leaving when she no longer has any use.
“Ayon kay Isabel ay manggagamit si Vivian, mabait lang kapag may kailangan, pero kapag natupad na ang intensiyon ay hindi ka na kilala ng aktres.
“Nakatikim din daw siya ng mga panlalait mula kay Vivian dahil nu’n pala ay sobrang naging malapit sila sa isa’t isa. Magkapatid daw ang kanilang karelasyon.”
Rivas further shared that Velez is full of pride and sees herself as someone who is perfect, though she has numerous disagreements with her co-stars.
“May kayabangan, praning, krung-krung at kung anu-ano pang salita ang paglalarawan ni Isabel kay Vivian. Matayog, hindi tumatanggap ng mga pagkakamali na para bang napakaperpektong tao nito, samantalang napakarami ring dapat ipanghingi ng tawad ng dating seksing aktres.”
Rivas ended that there are still a lot of revelations that she can share about Velez.
“Nagsisimula pa lang siya, ni hindi pa nga halos nababawasan ang baul ng kanyang alaala tungkol sa mga kakuwanan ni Vivian Velez, maraming-marami pa siyang rebelasyon.”

Velez was known as the ‘Ms. Body Beautiful’ of Philippine movies. Her most notable film was ‘Ang Babaing Hinugot sa Aking Tadyang’ in 1981 that was remade as a GMA Network TV series. Her last television show appearance was in ‘Tubig at Langis’ which she left after a big controversy.
Isabel Rivas was introduced as a sexy nymphet in the daring movie, ’Uhaw Na Dagat’ in 1980. She recently starred in GMA Network’s ‘Bilangin Ang Bituin Sa Langit.’
