The daughter of Megastar Sharon Cuneta and Senator Francis Pangilinan, Frankie Pangilinan, gave her two cents on Kat Alano’s trending post #RhymesWithWrong.
The former host joined and supported Frankie’s advocacy by sharing her thoughts about harassment against women. She also took the courage to reveal that at the time she was raped by a famous celebrity, she was wearing a T-shirt and jeans.
In her Tweet, she also said that she was drugged and unconscious, which made it difficult for the rapist to undress her.
With “#rhymeswithwrong” as her way to hint at the identity of the suspect, it trended on social media and the name of It’s Showtime host Vhong Navarro also became a trending topic on Twitter. The past four harassment cases that were filed against the host were recalled.
Many have questioned Kat on why she did not file a case against the suspect. In one of her Tweets, she explained that the suspect’s camp had already assured him that all charges against the celebrity would be dismissed.
“BTW, for everyone asking why I never filed. His uncle made sure that all cases against him would be dismissed. I found this out first hand. Also, they have been waiting to file a case against me to silence me & discredit me in the media, knowing I could never get justice by filing,” she said.
With the trending confession of Kat, netizens have called out Frankie to share her thoughts on the issue.
Finally, on June 19, she broke her silence and gave her opinion on Kat’s “#rhymeswithwrong” post.
Frankie pointed out that “accusations proven false should NEVER invalidate other accusations.” For her, “all stories that come after are equally valid and deserve to be afforded a certain amount of respect.”
i was taking a break today and i can’t believe i have to clarify this now — yes i stand with all victims of sexual assault and rape. #HijaAko is all about this strength. every victim deserves justice. and all rapists deserve hell. #rhymeswithwrong

and accusations proven false should NEVER invalidate other accusations — any and all stories that come after are equally valid and deserve to be afforded a certain amount of respect. while we cannot outright condemn a person without proof, we can and should condemn the act.

But then, she also stressed that “we cannot outright condemn a person without proof, we can and should condemn the act.”
The #HijaAko Movement started after the broadcaster Ben Tulfo opposed to Frankie’s tweet against victim-blaming. Tulfo replied on her tweet and called her “hija”.
#HijaAko movement aims to encourage women to take stand against victim-blaming. Many have used #HijaAko on Twitter to share their own sexual harassment experiences. Frankie even change her Twitter name to “Hija”.
